We are currently seeking an IT/OT Network Engineer to join our team in Muskegon, MI, on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in system administration or system engineering, with a foundational knowledge of networking.

Key Qualifications:
– Proficiency in IT, including expertise in Windows Server, VMWare virtualization, and a solid understanding of firewalls and networking. Familiarity with Quality Assurance Processes, GAMP, and IT Security/Cybersecurity is preferred.
– Strong understanding of routing, switching, and bridging protocols such as BGP, RIP, and VLANs.
– Comprehensive knowledge of network design incorporating switches, firewalls, and security systems (Cisco and Palo Alto).

Key Responsibilities:
– Support the design of servers and network infrastructure for client projects.
– Install, configure, and maintain both new and existing network infrastructure hardware, including configuration of virtual networks.
– Assist in the implementation of new or upgraded systems and virtualization efforts.
– Conduct qualification testing on new and existing systems.
– Engage in disaster recovery testing.
– Build host servers and failover clusters.
– Demonstrate knowledge of Antivirus & Security, Active Directory, Time Synchronization, and Backup & Recovery.
– Establish remote access setups.
– Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customers.
– Assist with site commissioning in Muskegon.
– Collaborate with vendors during the installation and connection to Operational Technology Services (MES, PI, Data Analytics, DCS, PLC/SCADA).

Additional Qualifications:
– Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Server and Workstation Operating Systems (Server 2008/2012/2016, Microsoft Windows 7/10) and Linux/Container technologies.
– Experience with Hyper-V and VMWare is desirable.
– Understanding of wireless technology design and deployment.
– This role presents an excellent opportunity for hands-on engagement within a collaborative client environment, supported by a robust internal OT engineering team.
– While there will be interaction with OT systems, strong IT skillsets are predominantly required.

– Proficient support and troubleshooting abilities.
– Effective communication skills.
– Excellent organizational skills with the capability to prioritize tasks independently.
– Willingness to work outside regular office hours when necessary.

Preferred Certifications and Knowledge (not mandatory):
– MCSE/CCNA/CCNP certifications are desirable.
– Qualifications in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
– Knowledge of Emerson DeltaV, PLC/SCADA is considered an asset.
