Job Position Description:
This role is integral to fostering cleaner and healthier environments within our customers’ buildings and grounds through the performance of essential duties and responsibilities, which may include but are not limited to:

  • Executing all cleaning tasks for facilities utilizing designated ServiceMaster products, tools, and methodologies.
  • Responsibilities encompass sweeping, mopping, polishing, disposing of trash, cleaning windows, and moving furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Monitoring and maintaining an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Opening and locking facilities, as well as enabling and disabling security systems as needed.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is preferred but not mandatory.
  • On-the-job training will be provided for candidates demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in a professional janitorial setting, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is advantageous.
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multifaceted work environment is essential.
  • Contributing to a positive workplace atmosphere through a pleasant demeanor and teamwork, including punctuality and adherence to the uniform policy.
  • Demonstrating respect and understanding towards colleagues and customers.
  • Proficiency in English communication is required.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

  • Regularly standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead or forward is required; the ability to lift and/or carry up to 25lbs is necessary.
  • Capability to read and follow cleaning instructions.
  • Ability to distinguish between various cleaning products and their applications.
