Job description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. This position is located at 777 Joslyn Ave, Pontiac, MI 48340. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

Schedule: Full-time from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements: A background in housekeeping is essential.

Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $18.11 to $21.91.

Job Summary: The Janitor will maintain cleanliness and orderliness across the facility, performing comprehensive cleaning duties that include but are not limited to cleaning floors, shampooing carpets, washing walls and glass, and managing waste disposal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and dispose of trash in line with established procedures and infection control protocols.
  • Dust and damp mop floors according to approved techniques.
  • Move furniture and equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and return items to their original positions.
  • Clean designated areas using appropriate materials and equipment, sanitizing all surfaces, and adhering to the eight-step cleaning process.
  • Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Identify and proactively address areas in need of cleaning.
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations while performing duties.
  • Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpets as required.
  • Contribute positively to the team environment, demonstrating professionalism with clients, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
