Delaware North Sportservice is seeking a part-time Kitchen Supervisor to join our esteemed team at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. What will you do?
– Develop weekly dining room menus utilizing personal or established recipes
– Oversee food preparation while ensuring adherence to quality, presentation, and sanitation standards, and verifying that portion sizes and department policies are followed
– Ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning efficiently, while supervising team members in their cleaning and food production responsibilities; maintain the cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers, including managing the proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food
– Actively manage food costs in accordance with parameters set by culinary leadership
– Execute opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned and according to established guidelines
More about you
– A minimum of two years’ experience as a Line Cook, Lead Line Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor
– Strong ability to communicate effectively in a leadership role
– Attentive and detail-oriented, with basic math skills to understand, calculate, and adhere to recipe measurements
– Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
– A college degree is not required
Physical requirements
– Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
– Prolonged standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift; occasionally pushing and pulling equipment, mops, and brooms
– Manual dexterity adequate for chopping, mixing, blending, and whipping a variety of foods and liquids
