Position Summary
- Laundry Worker: Responsible for collecting, sorting, and loading soiled linens into washers and clean linens into dryers, folding clean linens, accurately counting and recording processed linens each day, ensuring proper delivery to respective units, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, including machines, work tables, and sorting areas.
- Safety: Utilize protective gear in all relevant tasks. Adhere to safe mixing and usage of cleaning solutions, promptly report equipment and product needs to the supervisor, and ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines. Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, ensuring timely completion of tasks and appropriate responses to the paging system.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by cooperating with supervisors, colleagues, and client staff with respect and courtesy.
- Resident Experience: Interact positively and tactfully with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine tasks.
- Upon completion of training, demonstrate leadership capabilities to fulfill responsibilities independently without injury to oneself or others.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must maintain regular attendance and be punctual.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state or local regulations is required.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
- Must reside within the service area.
