Position Summary:
- Laundry Worker Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, and load soiled linens into washers, and transfer clean linens to dryers; fold and count clean linens, and record processed linen daily. Deliver linens to designated areas and maintain cleanliness of workspaces, including machines and sorting areas.
- Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines by using protective gear, mixing and utilizing cleaning solutions safely, and reporting any equipment or substance deficiencies to a supervisor promptly. Ensure compliance with established standards for safety and quality, following infection control protocols.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time, completing tasks as scheduled and promptly responding to the paging system.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and maintaining courteous, cooperative interactions with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Foster positive, respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications:
- Exhibit a positive attitude with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine, repetitive tasks on a daily basis.
- After appropriate training, demonstrate leadership abilities to complete assigned responsibilities independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state, local, and/or customer requirements.
- Capable of lifting or carrying a maximum of 50 pounds, pushing or pulling a maximum of 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Willingness to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must reside in the service area.
