Position Summary
- Laundry Worker: Responsible for collecting, sorting, and loading soiled linens into washers, loading clean linens into dryers, folding linens, tracking daily processed linens, making deliveries to units, and maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace, including machines and sorting areas.
- Safety Compliance: Utilize protective gear and follow proper safety procedures for mixing and using cleaning solutions. Report any equipment or product issues to supervisors promptly, and adhere to established standards of safety and quality.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner and responding promptly to paging systems.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and maintaining a courteous and cooperative demeanor with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
- Resident Interaction: Engage in positive, respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Display a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine, repetitive tasks.
- Upon completion of training, demonstrate leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently and without risk of injury.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and customer mandates.
- Capability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and perform extended periods of standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
- Ability to work with food and cleaning products.
