Key Responsibilities:
– Operate and maintain commercial washers and dryers, ensuring the appropriate amounts of detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives are utilized for washing and drying items such as sheets, draperies, linens, and carpets.
– Sort, count, and properly store items removed from dryers, ensuring cleanliness and organization within the laundry closet.
– Inspect soiled articles to identify sources of stains, color imperfections, and items necessitating special treatment.
– Iron or press various items, including fabrics, banquet linens, and napkins, using hand irons or pressing machines.
– Record and monitor all loads washed and dried to calculate productivity, including instances of linen losses due to stains, tears, or wear.

Qualifications:
– Ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced environments, employing strong communication skills with guests and team members.
– Basic mathematical skills.
– Previous experience as a laundry worker in a hotel or high-volume setting is advantageous, but not required.
