Summary:
Under general supervision, this role is responsible for opening and closing the hotel Kitchen+Bar during evening hours (4:30 PM – 12:30 AM) in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will maintain the food preparation and bar areas in a clean and orderly fashion while providing excellent service to our guests. Upholding a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality is essential to foster the Drury culture among customers and fellow team members. A general knowledge of the hotel, local area, and events is necessary to answer guest inquiries effectively.

Compensation:
The total estimated base compensation ranges from $60,000 to $70,000, which includes:

  • Base hourly pay: $14 – $15 per hour
  • Historic tip range: $110 – $150 per shift

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of one year of bartending experience is required; two or more years, including supervisory experience, is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of two years of college is preferred.
  • Proficiency in taking written and verbal direction in English and effective communication in English.
  • Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to perform duties associated with bartending, food preparation, cocktail serving, and other roles as necessary.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain relevant certifications per company requirements.
  • Proficient in handling cash, making change, and utilizing office equipment in day-to-day activities.
  • Proficient in operating relevant machinery and equipment, including cash registers, POS software (TOAST), dishwashers, and kitchen equipment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism while managing challenging situations and interpersonal communications with bar guests and team members.
  • Ability to open and close the bar, procure necessary supplies for cocktail preparation, and maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
  • Competence in distinguishing currency denominations and providing accurate change.
