Job description:
A Lead Direct Support Professional is responsible for coordinating services for individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. This includes managing various aspects of their care, such as finance, medical needs, recreational activities, family involvement, education, and household management. Key Responsibilities:

– Assist the program director in maintaining consistency in program implementation, individualized care, and effective communication between staff members and interdisciplinary teams across both day and residential programs.
– Provide direct support, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to individuals.
– Aid with daily living activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other essential tasks.
– Perform light housekeeping duties and assist in meal preparation.
– Participate in community events and recreational activities, including outdoor walks, games, and social gatherings.
– Provide transportation for individuals to appointments or community activities.
– Document individual progress, milestones, and necessary action steps.
