Job description:
Lead Sign Installer
Responsibilities:
– Oversee a team of installers with a focus on efficiency and quality, drawing on significant experience in the signage industry.
– Demonstrate hands-on expertise in the installation of commercial signage, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
– Maintain a clean driving record and possess the ability to safely operate a crane truck, bucket truck, and/or boom or scissor lift.
– Execute the installation of signs and associated support structures, which includes drilling and pouring concrete foundations.
– Complete all necessary documentation required by management, such as work orders and material lists.
– Ensure that signs, pipes, and other related materials are loaded and secured in a safe manner.
– Conduct general maintenance on company trucks and equipment, including routine upkeep to maintain both interior and exterior cleanliness and security.
– Carry out required housekeeping activities, which encompass the removal of debris resulting from installation tasks and the proper storage of all materials and tools not in use, while also addressing any hazardous or offensive materials.
– Exhibit flexibility by accommodating varying work hours, including the potential for overtime as mandated by management.
– Safely and efficiently meet the physical demands of the role.
– Participate in all required meetings and training sessions.
– Manage and safeguard all company resources with great diligence.
Qualifications:
– A minimum of 5 years of experience in installing both exterior and interior signage is required.
– At least 3 years of demonstrated experience leading an installation team.
– A valid driver’s license is required; a CDL Class A or B license is preferred but not mandatory.
– Crane and OSHA 10/30 certifications are preferred, though not essential.
– Proven experience in operating bucket or crane trucks.
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints or construction drawings is necessary.
– Exceptional attention to detail.
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
