Rockwell Automation’s Early Career Rotational Program is a 1-2 year initiative featuring multiple tracks designed to equip associates with the essential tools to cultivate their technical leadership and innovation capabilities within a global organization.
As part of the Projects – Process team, you will:
– Begin your journey in January 2025 or June 2025.
– Participate in Rockwell Automation’s Engineer in Training (EIT) Program, which includes formal classroom training, experiential learning, and relevant work assignments.
– Acquire valuable experience in technical and leadership competencies through various training opportunities, mentoring, career planning, and networking, while regularly engaging with Rockwell Automation’s leadership team.
– Engage with industrial automation technologies developed within Rockwell Automation’s key business segments, supporting The Connected Enterprise. This exposure includes software for automation, programmable automation controllers, intelligent motor control, machine safety, process control, industrial security, cloud computing, industrial Ethernet, motion control, variable-frequency drives, and more.
– Experience the application of Rockwell Automation products across diverse industries.
Rotational Program Overview:
– Rotation 1: Engineer in Training Program
– Location: Mayfield Heights, OH
– Specialized Training: Process
– Rotation 2: Project Delivery
– Rotation 3: Field Support
– Rotation 4: Dependent on Business Needs
Your Responsibilities:
– Analyze customer requirements to identify the optimal control system solutions, determining relevant hardware and software configurations and architecture.
– Assist in conceptualizing hardware system designs and formulating control system strategies to fulfill customer requirements.
– Facilitate the integration of third-party hardware, software, and control systems.
– Conduct site visits to third-party suppliers and panel shops to evaluate progress, provide technical assistance, and perform inspections.
– Execute internal and customer system testing while delivering on-site control system commissioning as necessary.
The Essentials – You Will Have:
– A Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited institution.
– Permanent legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have:
– Willingness to relocate every six months depending on opportunities and rotations.
– Graduation within the last three years with a technically focused degree.
– Previous interaction through events or internships with Rockwell Automation.
– A cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
– Demonstrated analytical skills coupled with an innovative approach to challenges.
– Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively prioritize competing tasks and meet project deadlines.
– Proven experience in collaborating with and leading peers and managers to achieve project objectives, with a capacity to present complex information to diverse audiences.
– A creative and adaptable mindset that fosters critical thinking, effective problem-solving, and an eagerness to embrace new challenges.
