Overview
LINE COOK – FULL TIME – 2nd SHIFT
Cleveland Marriott East is seeking qualified culinary professionals to join our team! Our hotel features multiple food and beverage outlets, catering to our guests’ breakfast, lunch, and dinner needs. River City Grille operates daily, presenting a diverse menu of entrees, soups, salads, desserts, and more. For those who prefer dining in the comfort of their room, our Marriott in-room dining menu is also available. Additionally, we offer a full selection of breakfast items in our morning buffet, showcasing classic favorites.

Our PM Line Cook will utilize their culinary expertise to deliver consistently high-quality dishes to our evening guests. Candidates must possess previous line cook experience, ideally in a hotel or restaurant environment, and demonstrate open availability, including weekends. The PM Line Cook will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and cost control in accordance with specified guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
– Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while ensuring a safe, sanitary work environment.
– Produce consistently high-quality food following standard recipes and portion specifications based on guest orders.
– Initiate preparation of menu items ahead of time to mitigate over-preparation of products.
– Assist with preparation of vegetables and condiments as necessary for upcoming shifts.
– Aid in the preparation of banquet meals as assigned.
– Label all food containers, rotating stock, and ensuring all perishables are maintained at appropriate temperatures.
– Check pars for shift use and assess necessary preparation needs, including freezer pulls and line setups, while noting out-of-stock items or potential shortages.
– Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment properly, and notify management of any issues that require attention.
– Assist with food storage upon delivery, ensuring proper labeling and rotation of all items.
– Complete the breakdown and cleaning of the kitchen line and workstations at the end of each shift.
– Maintain thorough knowledge of emergency and safety procedures, adhering to all key control protocols.
– Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
