As an Avalanche Bay Line Cook, you will play a pivotal role in food preparation, supporting the kitchen staff in the creation of culinary items, and setting up your designated station in accordance with the standards established by the Chef at the waterpark.

The primary responsibilities of the Line Cook include:
– Preparing food in compliance with food handling guidelines and cooking procedures.
– Measuring and mixing ingredients as per recipes or established records to prepare and prep food items.
– Stocking and maintaining adequate levels of food products at line stations to ensure a seamless service experience.
– Coordinating and communicating effectively with other cooks, wait staff, and members of the food and beverage team.
– Gaining familiarity with and properly utilizing all kitchen equipment.
– Adjusting thermostat controls to regulate the temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, kettles, etc.
– Observing and testing foods during cooking by tasting, smelling, and using a thermometer to verify proper preparation and cooking.
– Plating and portioning food while ensuring consistency according to presentation specifications, using records or specifications as references.
– Labeling, dating, and rotating all stored food appropriately.
– Executing closing procedures, which include equipment maintenance and shut-off, cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas at the waterpark.
