Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proficient Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu standards, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality food. You will collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff to maintain an efficient, organized, and clean working environment while delivering exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items in line with recipes and restaurant standards, ensuring timely preparation and service.
- Station Setup: Efficiently set up and stock your designated cooking station with the required ingredients, tools, and equipment prior to service.
- Food Presentation: Ensure all dishes are presented in accordance with restaurant standards, paying meticulous attention to detail in plating and garnishing.
- Quality Control: Uphold consistency and high quality in both food preparation and presentation. Proactively address any quality issues during service.
- Cleaning & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized, and assist in the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels at your station and communicate any inventory needs to the Kitchen Manager.
- Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service. Communicate any issues or special requests to the Kitchen Manager or other team members.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to all food safety guidelines, including appropriate food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a comparable kitchen position.
- Fundamental understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
