Looking for a dynamic and engaging workplace? Do you have a passion for creating unique and delicious meals? Anna’s House invites you to join our team as a Line Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing food according to our high standards and setting up stations for the menu. You will also assist the Kitchen Manager with daily tasks, contributing significantly to our guests’ satisfaction.
As a Line Cook, your responsibilities will include the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of all menu items, including specialty and featured dishes. We seek a candidate who can efficiently produce each order while adhering to the quality and safety standards expected by Anna’s House and our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items quickly and efficiently, collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Operate large-volume cooking equipment, including griddles, grills, and deep fryers.
- Multitask by cooking various orders simultaneously, ensuring all items are prepared according to guest specifications.
- Ensure food items are delivered simultaneously, of high quality, and in a timely manner.
- Prepare, wash, and cut foods for cooking, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
- Respond to and act in accordance with instructions from the Kitchen Manager and General Manager.
- Maintain a clean work station and properly store leftover food.
- Set up and stock cooking stations with necessary supplies.
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with both coworkers and guests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a culinary school diploma is a plus.
Experience:
- Proven cooking experience, including roles as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook, preferred.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Manual dexterity to effectively operate cutting tools and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
