Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Prepare and plate all food items in accordance with North High Brewing’s recipes and standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of all food items entering and leaving the kitchen.
- Demonstrate proficiency in identifying and preparing all menu items.
- Familiarize yourself with weighing and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Prepare food using various methods, including frying, sautéing, baking, and boiling, as required.
- Set up, break down, and clean all workstations and kitchen areas.
- Inspect the work area to ensure equipment is functional and sanitary.
- Comply with local, state, and federal health codes and sanitation regulations.
- Properly cover, date, and label all food items for storage in compliance with health codes.
- Utilize all kitchen equipment effectively while maintaining knowledge of proper cleaning techniques.
- Assist in the completion of all daily tasks as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the uniform policy at all times.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and expedite food for a la carte and banquet services.
- Report any food shortages or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Uphold professional standards within the work environment.
- Interact with colleagues in a respectful and professional manner.
- Comply with all safety, emergency, and sanitation policies, reporting any violations to the on-duty supervisor.
- Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as directed by management.
- Organize and store truck deliveries appropriately, adhering to correct food hierarchy and FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Kitchen Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager, or Lead Line Cook.
Qualifications:
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Food safety certifications are encouraged.
