Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Prepare and plate all food items according to NHB recipes and standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections of food items entering and leaving the kitchen.
  • Identify and prepare all menu offerings.
  • Familiarity with weighing and measuring ingredients.
  • Utilize various cooking methods, including frying, sautéing, baking, and boiling, as required.
  • Set up, break down, and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen stations.
  • Ensure the work area is equipped and sanitary.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal health code and sanitation regulations.
  • Properly cover, date, and label all stored food items as per health code requirements.
  • Skillfully operate all kitchen equipment and follow proper cleaning protocols.
  • Assist in fulfilling daily kitchen duties.
  • Maintain proper uniform attire at all times while on duty.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and expedite both a la carte and banquet meals.
  • Communicate any food shortages or equipment issues promptly.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Uphold professional standards within the work environment.
  • Interact with co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to all safety, emergency, and sanitation policies, reporting violations to the on-duty supervisor.
