POSITION SNAPSHOT: The role of a Line Cook is crucial in delivering an exceptional culinary experience for our guests through the preparation and presentation of our menu items. This position also ensures the safe handling and preparation of all food items, prioritizing our guests’ well-being.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver an unparalleled guest experience by combining delicious food, refreshing drinks, and entertaining games in an atmosphere designed for enjoyment.
- Maintain open communication with supervisors regarding any issues or significant matters, taking prompt corrective action or suggesting alternative solutions as necessary.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Operate all kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
- Utilize cleaning chemicals properly and in recommended quantities for safety and cost control.
- Properly store all products in designated locations and maintain appropriate inventory levels at all times.
- Prepare and present food that meets quality standards and aligns with guest expectations.
- Ensure food is sold within recommended timeframes to meet guest service expectations.
- Follow recipes and specifications meticulously for preparing and cooking all food items.
- Control costs by following established prep sheets designed to minimize waste and ensure the freshest products are served.
- Uphold the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas and maintain personal workspace.
- Perform cleaning tasks for kitchen mats, floors, walls, and drains, along with managing kitchen waste.
- Provide assistance to team members as necessary, especially during peak business hours.
- Foster a collaborative and harmonious working environment among all team members to enhance morale and productivity.
- Exhibit a friendly demeanor and maintain a positive attitude while working flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Previous kitchen experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with team members.
- Exhibit self-discipline and motivation in all tasks.
- Adhere to dress guidelines to present a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
