Delaware North Travel is seeking to hire a full-time Line Cook to join our team at Detroit Airport in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of dishes in accordance with established recipes and chef specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure, portion, and cook all food items in a timely manner.
- Ensure that correct food temperatures are maintained and that food is stored safely.
- Carry out opening, closing, and side work duties per established guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adequate stocking of the workstation and equipment.
- Implement waste control practices and record any waste on the spoilage sheet.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of six months of experience in a prep cook or line cook capacity.
- Ability to move efficiently and coordinate multiple orders simultaneously.
- Capability to adhere to procedures and follow directions effectively.
- Basic math skills to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, and blend a variety of foods and liquids.
- Ability to lift large pans weighing up to 50 pounds and operate kitchen equipment.
