Delaware North Sportservice is seeking seasonal Cooks to become a vital part of our culinary team at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for essential food preparation for guest orders, while collaborating closely with members of the serving team. Key Responsibilities:

– Prepare food in accordance with established portion sizes and quality standards, adhering to department rules, policies, and procedures, while ensuring that proper food temperatures are maintained and all items are stored appropriately to preserve freshness and quality.
– Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation, along with coolers and kitchen equipment, ensuring all supplies are adequately stocked.
– Implement waste control practices and accurately record all waste on the spoilage sheet.
– Execute opening, closing, and side work duties, as well as conduct end-of-day inventory.

Qualifications:

– A minimum of one year of experience in a back-of-the-house food service position.
– Ability to read and interpret prep sheets and recipes effectively.
– Basic mathematical skills necessary to calculate and follow recipe measurements.
– No high school diploma or GED is required.

Physical Requirements:

– Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs or more, reaching up to seven feet, and performing bending and squatting motions.
– Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift in a moderately to highly noisy environment.
– Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, whip various foods and liquids, and operate kitchen equipment.
