Job Description
Job Title: Line Cook
Company: Homestead
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Pay: $16 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, an hourly rate of $16 for a Line Cook in Sterling Heights, MI, is generally considered on the lower end of the pay scale for this position. According to industry standards, Line Cooks in the U.S. typically earn between $14 and $20 per hour, with higher wages often seen in urban areas or establishments with a focus on fine dining or higher volume. In Michigan, particularly in suburban areas like Sterling Heights, rates can vary, but many establishments may offer around $15 to $18 per hour. Therefore, while $16 is competitive in some contexts, it may not fully align with the expectations of more experienced cooks or those in higher-cost living areas, suggesting that employers might need to offer additional benefits to attract and retain skilled personnel.
