The Avalon of Lewis Center is seeking a hospitality-focused Cook to enhance our culinary team. This role entails hands-on production cooking within the Community Culinary Services Department, alongside maintaining a high standard of quality service and cleanliness at all times.
Key responsibilities of a Cook include:
– Upholding community standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization at all times.
– Adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards consistently.
– Preparing and serving menu cycle programs that comply with nutritional and dietary criteria as mandated by local regulations, while correctly preparing diets according to established policies and procedures.
– Exhibiting efficiency, speed, and accuracy in cooking standards.
– Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of food preparation and production.
– Assisting with meal service and dishwashing as needed.
– Periodically visiting residents to assess food service quality, including taste, portion size, temperature, and appearance, and implementing operational revisions to enhance service.
– Representing the community warmly and invitingly to foster a positive marketing environment.
– Contributing to a culture where the business decisions associated with this position, as well as individual employee engagement, drive revenue and occupancy growth.
Qualifications for this role include:
– A high school diploma.
– A culinary degree is preferred.
