Job description:

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking a part-time Line Cook to join our team at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing dishes according to established recipes and chef specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately measure, portion, and cook all food items in a timely manner.
• Maintain correct food temperatures and ensure safe food storage practices.
• Execute opening, closing, and side work duties per established guidelines.
• Keep the workstation and equipment clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
• Adhere to waste control protocols and record all waste on a spoilage sheet.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a prep cook or line cook is required.
• Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Proficient in following procedures and taking direction.
• Basic math skills to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions.
• No high school diploma or GED is required.

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity sufficient for chopping, mixing, and blending a variety of foods and liquids.
• Capability to carry large pans weighing up to 50 pounds and operate kitchen equipment.
