In this role, you will prepare food to exact specifications and set up cooking stations for our diverse menu. You will also support the Kitchen Manager in accomplishing daily tasks, thereby playing a vital role in enhancing guest satisfaction at Anna’s House.
As a Line Cook, your responsibilities include preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of dishes served to our guests. This encompasses all menu items, specialty offerings, and daily features. We seek a candidate who excels at consistently producing high-quality orders efficiently and adhering to the safety standards expected by Anna’s House and our patrons.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items swiftly and collaboratively with the kitchen staff.
- Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, and deep fryers.
- Multitask by preparing multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring adherence to guest specifications.
- Guarantee that all food items are presented simultaneously, with exceptional quality and timeliness.
- Prepare, wash, and cut ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
- Communicate clearly with the Kitchen Manager and General Manager, following their guidance and instructions.
- Maintain a clean work station and properly store leftover food.
- Set up and stock cooking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive and professional demeanor in interactions with coworkers and guests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Culinary school diploma is a plus.
Experience
- Proven cooking experience, particularly as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook, is preferred.
Skills
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
