Job description:
At SSP America, we are currently seeking dedicated Line Cooks to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless food service experience by receiving food orders and preparing exceptional dishes for our guests. Our Line Cooks play a vital role in maintaining an organized kitchen environment, ensuring that every team member has access to the necessary products and tools throughout their shift.

We pride ourselves on a diverse restaurant portfolio within the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, which includes well-known establishments such as Chili’s, Max & Erma’s, Sora Japanese Cuisine, and Coffey Beanery.

Key Responsibilities:
– Adhere to all recipes and practice portion control to ensure the preparation, garnishing, and presentation of ordered items meet our high standards.
– Maintain a properly set up and well-organized kitchen or station on a daily basis.
– Oversee the requisitioning and stocking of essential food items, paper products, and condiments.
– Handle, store, and rotate all products in accordance with best practices.
– Ensure the set-up, regular maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and machinery are carried out as required.
– Manage the daily stock, cutting, and storage of perishables to maintain product quality.
– Complete required opening, ongoing, and closing checklists diligently.
– Take ownership of the quality of products served to our guests.
– Execute general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products, as assigned by your supervisor, to adhere to health standards.
– Perform other duties as assigned.
