At SSP America, we are currently seeking dedicated Line Cooks to join our team. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.00 and requires open availability. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences in our restaurant portfolio at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, which includes renowned establishments such as Chili’s, Max & Erma’s, Sora Japanese Cuisine, and Coffey Beanery. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
– Following recipes meticulously while practicing portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items
– Ensuring the kitchen and your designated station are well-organized and equipped on a daily basis
– Requisitioning and properly stocking all necessary food, paper products, and condiments
– Managing the handling, storage, and rotation of all products to maintain freshness
– Overseeing the setup, maintenance, cleaning, and disassembly of kitchen machinery and equipment
– Managing stock levels and the cutting and storage of perishables to uphold quality standards
– Completing opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required
– Taking ownership of the quality of products served
– Performing general and specific cleaning tasks with standard cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to meet health standards
– Fulfilling other duties as assigned
