Job description:

At SSP America, we are currently seeking dedicated Line Cooks to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18.00, comprehensive benefits, and immediate hiring opportunities, along with possibilities for career advancement.

As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Following established recipes and practicing portion control to prepare, garnish, and present menu items.
  • Maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen setup to ensure that all necessary products and tools are readily accessible.
  • Requisitioning, stocking, and properly handling all required food, paper products, and condiments.
  • Correctly storing and rotating all products to uphold quality standards.
  • Managing the setup, maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of kitchen machinery and equipment.
  • Overseeing inventory management, including cutting and storing perishables daily to ensure freshness.
  • Completing required opening, ongoing, and closing checklists.
  • Taking ownership of the quality of the products served.
  • Performing general and specific cleaning tasks in accordance with health standards as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Undertaking additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a food service environment.
  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding English to effectively communicate with guests and take orders.
  • Basic mathematical skills for effective portioning and meal preparation.
  • A valid food handler’s permit, as mandated by local regulations.
  • Brand certification, if applicable.
  • The ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
