Our state-of-the-art facility is designed for the modern generation of seniors, and we invite you to contribute to creating exceptional living experiences. As a cook, you will work in a newly established kitchen, delivering a ‘cook to order’ menu that emphasizes the importance of quality meals in enriching our community members’ lives.

As a Cook, your primary responsibilities will include performing and coordinating food preparation that aligns with, and exceeds, the expected standards of quality, quantity, and service schedules for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for community members.
  • Coordinate and assist in managing meal service.
  • Maintain sanitation standards in food service areas.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of food preparation and service.
  • Receive and properly store inventory, ensuring rotation.
  • Cater to special dietary needs as required.
  • Prepare texture-modified foods upon request.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food handling.
  • Monitor compliance with quality service standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • An Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a restaurant setting, particularly in preparing meals in large quantities.
  • Serve Safe certification is preferred.
  • Experience in menu planning is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Proficient English communication skills are required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass a criminal background check.
  • A current TB test and physical examination may be required.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work every other weekend is essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and support up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequent kneeling, crouching, and bending are necessary.
  • Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
