Job description:

The Loader is responsible for loading and transporting materials within or adjacent to the plant. This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM, with the potential for weekend support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine the materials or containers to be moved.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Load materials into vehicles and secure them using strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent movement or damage during transit.
• Transfer materials from storage or work sites to designated locations.
• Attach lifting devices to materials and transport loads to their destination using a crane.
• Accurately count, weigh, and record the number of units moved or handled on the daily production sheet; attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers.
• Stack or bundle materials and secure them together.
• Lift heavy objects either manually or with a power hoist and maintain cleanliness in the work area, machines, and equipment.
• Assemble pallets or side kits to secure products for transport on trailers.
• Operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to facilitate the loading or movement of materials and products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, conducting general housekeeping upon completing repairs.
• Assist with general housekeeping tasks.
• Demonstrate basic competency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating forklifts.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in various measurement units.
• Skilled in using measuring devices like tape measures or rulers.
• Capable of applying common sense to understand and execute instructions presented in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

• Must possess a valid Forklift Operator’s license.
