Job description:

As a Class B Truck Driver, your primary responsibility will be the safe and timely delivery of merchandise to various locations. This role involves making multiple stops each day, with the added benefit of returning home daily. You will ensure compliance with transportation regulations while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one Saturday per month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Compensation: This non-exempt, hourly position offers a competitive pay range of $24 to $27 per hour, with overtime compensation at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires typically earn between $49,880 and $66,058 annually, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver countertop and flooring materials safely and efficiently.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and securely fastening cargo.
• Skillfully use blocks, ties, straps/chains, and binders to secure cargo.
• Maintain a heightened state of alertness and operate vehicles safely at all times.
• Demonstrate patience and a courteous attitude towards other road users.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt to changing conditions, prioritize a customer-centric approach, and commit to delivering quality service.
• Work independently while remaining focused on tasks.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Requirements:

• Valid Class B Driver’s License.
• A minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience with heavy-duty vehicles.
• Comfort with making local deliveries that involve multiple stops.
• Successful completion of driving tests and all DOT pre-employment requirements.
• Safety-oriented, proficient in maintaining a legal and accurate logbook.
• Ability to understand and interpret bills of lading and picking sheets.
• Previous experience utilizing an iPad or tablet is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to generate 137 lbs of vertical push/pull force.
• Capable of lifting and transferring up to 65 lbs.
• Ability to carry a minimum of 30 lbs the length of the truck bed.
• Capable of ascending and descending a multi-rung ladder.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch.
• Ability to work at an elevated height of 72 inches above the ground while using securing or fastening equipment.
• Ability to work at a lowered height of 6 inches above the ground while using securing or fastening equipment.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
