Job description:

Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital is seeking a qualified Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for coverage from November 2024 to February 2025.

Job Details:

  • Reason for Coverage: Leave of absence
  • Documentation System/EMR: Utilization of paper records, Cerner, and Surginet
  • Supervision: The CRNA will operate independently
  • Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Approximately 25
  • Average Number of Pain Management Cases: 0
  • Trauma Level/Designation: Level IV
  • Patient Age Demographic: Adult and Geriatric
  • Required Procedures:
    • General surgical cases (adult)
    • Minor nerve blocks
    • IV regional anesthesia
    • Spinal anesthesia
    • Epidural anesthesia

Expenses:

  • Hotel accommodations are reimbursable
  • Flight expenses are reimbursable, with a preference for local candidates
  • Car rental or mileage reimbursement will be provided, but not both

Requirements:

  • Active Michigan nursing license
  • Submission of rates at the time of name clearance
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
  • A clean background with no disciplinary actions or malpractice claims
  • Must have prior training and experience; new graduates will not be considered

Certification Requirements:

  • BLS certification
  • AANA certification

State License Requirements:

  • Valid Michigan nursing license
