Job description:
Patrol all areas of the property and provide assistance to guests needing access to their rooms. Monitor the Closed Circuit Television system, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and the fire life safety system. Secure property entrances as required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections. Respond to accidents by contacting EMS when necessary or administering first aid/CPR. Provide assistance to guests and employees during emergency situations and notify the appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Effectively manage disturbances involving guests or employees and seek outside assistance as needed. Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention incidents and manage any interruptions or complaints while ensuring safety standards are upheld.
Escort unwelcome individuals from the premises without disrupting property operations and report to scenes of vehicle accidents or thefts, using proper code responses for assistance. Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary and daily activity report. Maintain confidentiality concerning all Security/Loss Prevention records and only release information to authorized personnel. Conduct investigations and gather evidence, interviewing relevant parties as necessary.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, promptly report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management, complete safety training and certifications, and ensure a clean and professional appearance in uniform. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. Offer a warm welcome to all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating their service needs and assisting individuals with disabilities while expressing genuine appreciation.
Utilize clear and professional language in communication, and prepare and review documentation accurately. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting teamwork to achieve common objectives. Comply with quality assurance standards and be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Some states may impose additional licensing or registration requirements for this position.
Demonstrate proficiency in reading and visually verifying information in various formats, inspecting tools and equipment, and using computers or point-of-sale systems to access work-related information. Move swiftly to respond to work situations, and be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and over 75 pounds with assistance. Exhibit fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to manage objects of varying sizes and weights, navigate confined or elevated spaces, and traverse uneven or slippery surfaces, including stairs and service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, incorporating bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as needed. Perform additional reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, with no specific work or supervisory experience required. No special license or certification is needed.
