Job Responsibilities:

  • Construct mechanical sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and perform other mechanical tasks as needed.
  • Complete in-process quality control check sheets and audits as required.
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship throughout all tasks.
  • Adhere to good housekeeping practices within the work area.
  • Take direction from team leaders and supervisors.
  • Provide status updates on job progress to the Mechanical Assembly Leader.
  • Understand due dates for projects and manage work schedules accordingly.
  • Regularly communicate with supervisors regarding daily job progress.
  • Assist in disassembly, packing, and loading of machines for shipment.
  • Fill in for team members during absences as needed.
  • Order materials and coordinate with receiving departments when necessary.
  • Support the startup and debugging of equipment.
  • Propose work methods and materials that could enhance existing designs.
  • Travel as required for installations, debugging, trials, or problem-solving at customer sites.
  • Interpret build prints and collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to resolve design issues.
  • Recommend and document necessary engineering changes following ECO procedures.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to new employees.

Job Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Builder is preferred.
