Graham Packaging Company is currently seeking a Machine Operator I for our facility in Mason, Ohio. This position is a 1st Shift role, operating from 6:45 AM to 3 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential weekend overtime.

Key responsibilities include:
– Operating a designated number of plastic blow molding machines and in-line equipment, making necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production of containers.
– Understanding, following, and enforcing all established safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies and procedures.
– Engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives and related activities as assigned.
– Performing and assisting with mold, insert, and color changes on the line.
– Enhancing machine efficiency and reducing scrap through basic processing techniques on injection and blow molding machines.
– Participating in various tasks as needed, such as performing duties of any Utility position during slower periods.
– Monitoring processing conditions, conducting quality checks, assisting with mechanical repairs, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
– Communicating effectively with the Production Shift Supervisor to support production line objectives and assist in training new Operators.
– Performing minor troubleshooting and programming on the line, notifying supervisors of any significant issues.
