PAY: $14/hour
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM (1st shift)

Machine Operating Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various machines efficiently.
• Ensure safe and competent machine operation in alignment with manufacturers’ guidelines, maintaining stringent safety and housekeeping standards.
• Verify that all produced components adhere to specifications using appropriate measuring instruments, such as micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Select appropriate tools, inserts, and cutters for machining operations.
• Work within tight tolerances while consistently meeting production quotas in a manufacturing setting.
• Interpret blueprint drawings, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to determine specifications and procedures.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor tool wear and change tools and inserts as necessary.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage deadlines, and maintain the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing output, quality, cost-efficiency, and delivery.

Machine Operating Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of machinist experience.
• Proficiency in basic shop math skills.
• Familiarity with computer applications.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
• Capacity to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity are essential.
• Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, as well as utilizing measuring instruments.
• Excellent attention to detail.
