PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Company’s mission, vision, values, and objectives in the performance of daily activities.
  • Ensure the full operational capacity and compliance of all utility systems through regular inspections aligned with preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Contribute to plant objectives related to cost, quality, service, safety, and reduction of raw material waste.
  • Drive the implementation of cost-saving initiatives, renovations, and safety projects at the plant.
  • Oversee the design, execution, and verification of installations, repairs, and construction projects.
  • Develop change management proposals, establish plans, and oversee project activities.
  • Manage budgets, determine, and approve expenditures while effectively utilizing capital resources.
  • Implement methods to enhance productivity and address operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and assist in the development of acceptable finance standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and external contractors on project quotes, installation schedules, implementation, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Administer preventive maintenance programs, manage emergency repair processes for production equipment, and support changeovers for facilities and production equipment.
  • Ensure that all direct reports understand their Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) responsibilities and hold them accountable.
  • Facilitate the availability of necessary tools and materials for the team to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
  • Confirm that all safety devices are properly utilized, and monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) among team members.
  • Adhere to all internal safety protocols and OSHA regulations during daily work operations.
  • Foster positive working relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including the Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, and Level II procedures.

LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of associates engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Identify, select, train, and mentor management talent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Maintenance Manager, preferably in a plant utilities environment, along with two (2) years of management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive equipment, along with preventive and predictive maintenance processes.
  • Certification in skilled trades is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of plant departmental functions and the ability to interact effectively to facilitate overall plant synergy.
  • Excellent skills in procedure development and documentation.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proven aptitude for mentoring team members in effective problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
