Shift: 2nd Shift; 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM (Wednesday – Saturday)
Pay: $25.12 – $43.80 per hour, plus shift premium, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a vital role in supporting the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems within designated facilities. This position involves collaboration with team members and mobile engineers on maintenance and repair initiatives, as well as executing defined tasks independently. Responsibilities include conducting inspections and repairs in both the interior and exterior of assigned properties, encompassing areas such as HVAC units, boilers, cooling towers, walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute ongoing preventive maintenance and repair tasks for facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems and components.
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that may affect client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Perform general interior maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture, and fixing doors.
- Assist the operations team with building and equipment maintenance as directed.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as needed.
- Replace lighting and ballasts as required.
- Clean HVAC coils and change filters and belts.
- Carry out additional assignments as directed.
- Complete hazard assessments as necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a clean and safe workspace while identifying and proposing solutions to hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state, county, or city ordinances, codes, and laws.
- Follow policies regarding the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a valid state driver’s license (if applicable for mobile tasks).
- Submit P-card receipts and update work order statuses in real-time.
- Utilize CMMS systems, such as Corrigo, for all maintenance activities.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections and escalate any issues to customers and management promptly.
- Attend work and safety meetings as required.
- Perform any other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in general building repair, maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Licenses as required by local authorities.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 ft.
- Position necessitates frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
