Job description:
We are actively seeking a qualified and diligent Maintenance Technician to become an integral part of our team at the Dundee MI Hotel, a valued member of VP Management’s hospitality portfolio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality and aesthetic appeal of our hotel by maintaining the property, equipment, and guest accommodations. This position is a full-time, individual contributor role based in Dundee, Michigan.

Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and equipment
– Efficiently complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks within designated timelines
– Troubleshoot and address guest requests and concerns professionally and courteously
– Resolve maintenance issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
– Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify and address potential concerns
– Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory
– Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts, prioritize tasks, and minimize guest disruption
– Adhere to all safety and security protocols, reporting any hazards or concerns to management

Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
– Fundamental knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
– Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
– Ability to work autonomously while effectively prioritizing tasks
