General Information
- Location: Lordstown, OH
- Compensation: $23-$30 per hour, commensurate with prior experience
- Schedule: Rotating shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
- Position Type: Direct hire opportunity
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the troubleshooting and maintenance of injection mold machines, conveyors, and various mechanical equipment within the plant.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Execute daily preventative maintenance on production equipment and ensure proper documentation is completed as scheduled.
- Troubleshoot issues related to PLC hardware and software.
- Diagnose, analyze, and repair electro-mechanical and instrumentation equipment using meters, gauges, and other testing methods.
- Employ knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to install, repair, or replace defective equipment.
- Collaborate with the supervisor to write and update standard maintenance procedures and work instructions, verifying their accuracy and suggesting improvements as needed.
- Prepare work areas, ensuring all necessary tools are readily available and in good working condition.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues while promoting maintenance best practices.
- Communicate effectively with Team Leaders and Supervisors regarding safety, quality, and production-related concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 6S principles.
- Identify the need for equipment replacements or new acquisitions and inform the supervisor accordingly.
- Provide engineers with essential information to support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in updating preventive maintenance documentation.
- Foster a collaborative atmosphere with colleagues to sustain a positive work environment.
- Attend any training sessions as scheduled by the supervisor.
- Prioritize safety at all times by adhering to safe working habits and industrial safety guidelines. Report any safety concerns to the supervisor or team leader.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong electrical background.
- Prior experience with 10-1000 ton molding machines, such as Husky, BMB, Van Dorn, or Milacron, is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and handle up to 55 pounds occasionally, with good hand/eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer proficiency and effective communication skills are essential.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Candidates will be subject to pre-employment screening.
