Job description:
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the general upkeep of the property, both internally and externally, with an emphasis on enhancing the guest experience. Regular interaction with guests is anticipated, requiring the Technician to maintain a personable, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
– Execute the Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program efficiently by reviewing the PM checklist for each hotel room and performing necessary tasks to restore the room to “like new” condition.
– Conduct repairs related to lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, guest room walls, appliances, doors and locks, furniture, carpet stains, and flooring.
– Adhere to safe work practices including proper lifting techniques, ladder usage, and safe handling of chemicals.
– Check the front desk log daily for maintenance issues requiring immediate intervention.
– Address guest concerns as requested by guest services or directly from guests.
– Dispose of trash and empty receptacles on a daily basis.
– Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks and internal and external stairs as necessary.
– Clear debris from the parking lot, landscaping, and dumpster area each day.
– Ensure the exterior of the building and grounds are kept clean through the use of a pressure washer and blower.
– Perform painting tasks on walls, ceilings, doors, and window trim as required.
– Keep the maintenance workshop and storeroom clean and organized.
– Complete assigned tasks and confirm them on a daily checklist.
– Perform various other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
– Exceptional customer service skills to effectively interact with both guests and colleagues.
– The hotel will determine prior to employment if the individual will be required to drive for the company. If so, the employee must possess a reliable, insured vehicle and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Work Environment:
