Job description:
The Manager in Training role is an energetic, customer-focused position responsible for overseeing the operations of a fast-paced tire and automotive service facility. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth within the tire and automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Belle Tire Brand Ambassador, spearheading local initiatives to enhance brand recognition and uphold Belle Tire’s culture throughout the store.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships.
- Assess customers’ needs and provide tailored solutions in accordance with Belle Tire’s offerings.
- Adhere to Belle Tire’s established Sales Process.
- Manage daily cash operations, including cash drawer reconciliation and customer transactions.
- Oversee workflow within the service department.
- Strive to meet and exceed defined goals and performance objectives.
- Handle retail operations paperwork diligently.
- Fulfill key holder responsibilities, including opening and closing the store.
- Coach, manage, and develop store employees.
- Develop and maintain the store schedule for all employees.
- Assist with hiring, interviewing, and addressing employee relations issues.
- Analyze and interpret the store’s profit and loss statements.
- Manage inventory effectively.
- Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including the shop, showroom, and restrooms.
- Foster a collaborative team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Make ethical decisions that benefit customers, employees, and vendors alike.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts by sharing ideas that enhance Belle Tire’s operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience in a retail and/or automotive service environment is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and customers.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, Monday through Saturday, with potential for overtime; must be comfortable in a physically demanding workshop environment with prolonged periods of standing.
