As a Manager within our organization, you will lead a team of Precision Oncology sales representatives and oversee all account activities for selected products in the Precision Oncology portfolio within your designated region. This portfolio may include OncoExTra, OncoDetect (MRD), and RiskGuard (Hereditary Cancer Testing). Your primary responsibilities will encompass driving sales results, providing leadership, strategic planning, project management, developing your team, and ensuring effective communication. You are expected to enhance the skill sets of your team members continually while driving your region to achieve sales volumes that meet or exceed the assigned quotas.

This role is field-based, with opportunities available at various experience levels:

– Manager, Precision Oncology Specialty Sales
– Senior Manager, Precision Oncology Specialty Sales

To qualify for the senior level, candidates should possess multiple years of experience managing oncology sales teams, along with expertise in areas such as NextGen Sequencing, Minimal Residual Disease, comprehensive genomic profiling, liquid biopsy, and/or hereditary cancer testing, accompanied by established relationships with cancer centers.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

– Provide effective leadership and strategic direction for the region’s Representatives of Oncology Leadership (ROLs) to deepen customer engagement, compete effectively, and formulate strategic business plans while serving as clinical experts knowledgeable about competitive dynamics.
– Foster strong collaborative relationships with key internal departments to understand and support the mission and goals of Exact Sciences.
– Offer insights regarding sales and managed care contracting, pricing, and future product development strategies.
– Stay informed about scientific advancements, applicable disease states, competitive landscape, and external factors impacting the business; proactively identify emerging opportunities to advance our interests.
– Ensure adherence to corporate policies and legal standards.
– Engage in various cross-functional committees, including Incentive Compensation, Marketing, and others.
– Initiate and provide constructive feedback on addressing challenges and opportunities related to corporate objectives.
– Cultivate productive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the region.
– Develop, present, and implement a comprehensive regional business plan, tracking progress and adjusting strategies to meet revenue and budget objectives.
– Identify innovative, customer-centric solutions in response to evolving market conditions.
– Participate in or lead specialized sub-teams focused on strategic initiatives, managed care, contracting, pricing, business development, and other critical areas.
– Supervise team members, including organizing and prioritizing work, conducting performance reviews, providing training and development, and managing overall performance.
– Communicate goals effectively to all team members, ensuring clarity and successful execution.
– Inspire and motivate employees through coaching and recognition of their efforts.
– Maintain high employee morale and engage in initiatives that foster employee satisfaction.
– Lead hiring, training, counseling, coaching, and the professional development of team members.
– Manage performance with integrity, supporting the growth of the team and recognizing exemplary contributions while offering guidance where necessary.

– Travel is anticipated to be about 75% of working time, including overnight and weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field pertinent to the essential duties.
– A minimum of 6 years of experience in medical sales.
– At least 2 years of experience in oncology sales.
– Proven sales record with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
– Aptitude for integrating and applying feedback professionally while prioritizing and driving results with an emphasis on quality, teamwork, and strategic thinking.
– Proficient writing and presentation skills, including the ability to create memos, reports, presentations, and data analyses.
– Strong computer skills, including Internet navigation, email, and word processing.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
– Valid driver’s license with no suspended, revoked, or invalid status.
– No more than two moving violations or accidents in the last 36 months, and no alcohol or drug-related driving incidents within the same timeframe.
– Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
– Ability to perform essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

The annual base salary for this position reflects a combined range applicable to both titles. Your placement within this salary range will depend on your experience and location. Additionally, this position is bonus-eligible and qualified for company stock awards upon hiring and annually thereafter.
