As a Manager, you will lead a team of Precision Oncology sales representatives and oversee all account activities for select products within the Precision Oncology portfolio in your designated region, which may encompass OncoExTra, OncoDetect (MRD), and RiskGuard (Hereditary Cancer Testing). Your primary focus areas will include driving sales results, providing leadership, strategic planning, project management, developing team members, and effective communication. You are expected to continually enhance the skills of your team members and ensure your region achieves sales volume at or above the designated sales quota.

This is a field-based position.

To be considered for the senior-level role, candidates must possess several years of experience managing oncology sales teams, a background in NextGen Sequencing, Minimal Residual Disease, comprehensive genomic profiling, liquid biopsy, and/or hereditary cancer, as well as established relationships with cancer centers.

Essential Duties
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing effective leadership and strategic direction to the respective region’s Representatives of Oncology Leadership (ROLs) to deepen customer relationships, excel in competitive sales environments, develop strategic business plans, and enhance clinical expertise while understanding competitive dynamics.
  • Cultivating strong working relationships with key departments within Exact Sciences to nurture our mission and goals.
  • Offering feedback to Sales and Managed Care (contracting/pricing) that informs future product development strategies.
  • Staying informed on relevant scientific and disease state developments, competition, and external factors influencing our business; identifying emerging opportunities that align with our objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and applicable legal standards.
  • Participating in cross-functional committees such as Incentive Compensation and Marketing.
  • Taking initiative to address challenges and leverage opportunities that support corporate goals.
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the region.
  • Developing, presenting, and executing a comprehensive regional business plan; tracking progress towards revenue and budget targets and making necessary adjustments.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this role:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in medical sales.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience specifically in oncology.
  • A proven track record of success in sales along with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

  • Proficiency in writing and presentation, including the preparation of memos, letters, reports, and data analysis presentations.

  • A valid driver’s license without suspended or revoked status.
