Job description:

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division is currently seeking a Marketing Communication Co-op. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $19.38 to $24.23, and this salary guideline is subject to adjustments based on individual skills, experience, and qualifications, in addition to market and business factors.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a variety of marketing initiatives, which may include:

  • Collaborating with marketing managers to create content and devise strategies for projects encompassing videos, email campaigns, website enhancements, and social media posts, while utilizing corporate tools for the coordination with various Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and agencies.
  • Generating reports, analyzing data, and interpreting results for management.
  • Assisting in the development, evaluation, implementation, updating, and maintenance of various department websites, tools, programs, and processes.
  • Contributing to event management efforts, including trade shows and webinars.
  • Attending meetings and fulfilling assigned action items.
  • Managing timelines and supporting multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Advertising.
  • Authorized to work in the US without the need for company sponsorship.
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Galesburg/Southfield, Michigan; relocation assistance is not provided.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Position Criteria:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required; working knowledge of SharePoint is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to think and act strategically.
  • Quick to take direction and self-motivated.
  • Confidence in presenting ideas and networking within the organization.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Experience in digital marketing.
  • Experience managing a business social media account.

Skills:

  • Anticipated duration of employment is at least one year or until graduation from college.
  • Expectation to work full-time (40 hours) during the summer months and part-time (up to 30 hours) during the academic year.
