Job description:
The Marketing Manager will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies at Belterra Park, encompassing direct mail, advertising, branding, promotions, special events, and compliance, all aimed at enhancing profitability. This role requires leadership of the Marketing Coordinator team, optimizing CRM tools, and aligning strategies with VIP segment needs. The Marketing Manager is also responsible for the communication and fulfillment of the Boyd Rewards loyalty card benefits program.

Key Responsibilities:

– Recruit, motivate, evaluate, and manage staff, ensuring team members receive the guidance and resources necessary to achieve set objectives.
– Develop, implement, and monitor departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives while managing administrative processes such as budgeting and staffing for efficient operations.
– Foster department morale through effective supervision and training, ensuring all personnel meet customer service standards.
– Establish and manage consumer marketing objectives, standards, procedures, and budgets in alignment with Belterra Park’s corporate policies.
– Lead long- and short-term planning for all consumer marketing functions, including analyzing market opportunities and program effectiveness, to enhance guest satisfaction and reach market share goals.
– Supervise agency creative and production processes for the development of marketing materials that support key operational areas.
– Collaborate with the Player Development host team to align communication efforts.
– Utilize the Salesforce CRM tool to develop communication strategies for the VIP segment.
– Oversee and create property advertising in partnership with external agencies to ensure alignment with corporate marketing policies and goals.
– Manage communication regarding the Boyd Rewards loyalty card program with the Boyd Rewards Center, ensuring benefits are effectively fulfilled.
– Guarantee compliance with gaming regulations for all marketing events and programs by managing promotional submissions and reporting timelines.
– Facilitate cross-department planning for special promotional needs.
– Plan and coordinate promotions and special events, including idea generation and event calendar creation.
– Communicate goals and requirements to support promotional program planning.
– Develop and implement creative and promotional solutions in response to competitive challenges.
– Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing to shape both long- and short-term strategies and evaluate consumer marketing plans.
– In partnership with the special events team, host and facilitate all events, ensuring profitability targets are met and generating productivity reports as required.
– Determine supplies needed for special events, ensuring timely procurement and maintenance of inventory and equipment.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Hospitality, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within marketing and/or player development at a casino property.

– Ability to maintain regulatory licenses relevant to the state of employment.
– Successful completion of background checks and alcohol/drug screenings is required.
– Flexibility to work various shifts, including swing shifts and holidays as needed.
– In-depth knowledge of the casino and tourism industries.
– Experience in managing a marketing or host team.
