Job description:
Responsible for managing the indirect purchasing processes and providing support to the material planning group.

Primary Responsibilities:
– Execute daily job functions in alignment with the plant’s objectives and quality standards.
– Analyze significant supplier delivery issues and escalate concerns to prevent disruptions in plant production.
– Monitor raw and finished inventory levels through regular cycle counts.
– Participate in conducting physical inventories.
– Utilize software systems to assess raw material demand in order to meet manufacturing needs.
– Generate raw material releases and communicate these to suppliers.
– Contribute to the evaluation of supplier performance by providing delivery and service data.
– Implement and maintain Kanban systems for material ordering and inventory control.
– Understand inventory transactions and their impact on business operations.
– Maintain the front desk area, including greeting visitors, processing employee cash reimbursements, sorting daily mail, and overseeing office supplies inventory.
– Assist with the procurement of indirect supplies and the planning of employee functions.
– Be prepared to undertake other related duties as necessary.

Education and Qualifications:
– An Associate Degree or completion of a Trade/Technical School is required.
– A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Production Control or a related field is preferred.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities for interpreting statistical data.
– Proficient in computer applications, particularly within the Windows operating system and web-based applications.

Work Environment/Work Conditions:
– The role is set in a general office environment as well as on the production floor.
– Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when working on the production floor.
