Job description:
Perform general cleaning and stock management in the Meat department while delivering exceptional customer service. Uphold the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Serve customers at the counter promptly and with a positive attitude, ensuring they receive high-quality food products.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions by being tactful, calm, courteous, and approachable.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Create a clean, neat, and welcoming environment for customers.
- Unload and store merchandise while preparing and displaying food in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies.
- Conduct required temperature monitoring to ensure food safety.
- Regularly assess product quality to guarantee freshness and safety.
- Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers organized and clean.
- Maintain safe and uncluttered flooring.
- Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils in compliance with company and Health Department regulations.
- Ensure proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
- Properly maintain equipment and facilities according to company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to company policies, as well as State and Federal regulations.
- Operate the cash register in accordance with company procedures, when applicable.
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
- Manage conflict in a calm, constructive, and cooperative manner.
- Maintain honesty and integrity concerning customer and business information.
- Follow directions accurately and seek assistance as needed to resolve customer and business challenges.
