Job description:

Perform general cleaning and stock management in the Meat department while delivering exceptional customer service. Uphold the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve customers at the counter promptly and with a positive attitude, ensuring they receive high-quality food products.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions by being tactful, calm, courteous, and approachable.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Create a clean, neat, and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Unload and store merchandise while preparing and displaying food in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies.
  • Conduct required temperature monitoring to ensure food safety.
  • Regularly assess product quality to guarantee freshness and safety.
  • Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers organized and clean.
  • Maintain safe and uncluttered flooring.
  • Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils in compliance with company and Health Department regulations.
  • Ensure proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
  • Properly maintain equipment and facilities according to company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies, as well as State and Federal regulations.
  • Operate the cash register in accordance with company procedures, when applicable.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
  • Manage conflict in a calm, constructive, and cooperative manner.
  • Maintain honesty and integrity concerning customer and business information.
  • Follow directions accurately and seek assistance as needed to resolve customer and business challenges.
