Job description:

QPC is currently seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide essential care to our residents in Utica, MI. The Med Tech will assist residents with activities of daily living and administer medications. We are looking for individuals who possess a passion for helping others, exemplary communication skills, and the ability to cultivate genuine relationships with seniors. Currently, we have a second shift opportunity available from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications and injections to residents in accordance with their medical charts, ensuring proper documentation procedures are followed.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, which may include light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in the residents’ conditions to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is required.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license or ID.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with punctuality for all shifts.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position, with caregivers scheduled for 8-hour shifts and required to work every other weekend.

Pay:

Hourly compensation is $15.00, with potential for growth.
