Job description:

Rhino Medical Services is actively seeking qualified Medical Assistants (MAs) for an exciting part-time opportunity in Kentwood, MI, to support one of the nation’s largest Urgent Care clinic systems. This position offers a unique schedule of Wednesday to Friday, allowing for a work-life balance while providing essential patient care.

We are looking for dedicated local candidates with outstanding patient care abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering concierge-level customer service.

Opportunity Specifics:

  • Clinical Setting: Outpatient Clinic
  • Assignment Dates: Immediate availability with potential for extension
  • Schedule:
    • Wednesday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Compensation: Competitive weekly pay

Medical Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and room patients efficiently.
  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens as needed.
  • Prepare and label samples for laboratory testing.
  • Obtain blood and urine samples, measure and record vital signs, and maintain clean examination rooms.
  • Execute clerical tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment within the scope of the role, both with and without the provider present.
  • Adhere to all clinical and clerical protocols in accordance with company policy.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in a clinical environment.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
  • Ability to commute daily to Kentwood, Michigan.
  • Fundamental understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and relevant clinical pharmacology within the medical assistant practice scope.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
